This customer was building their retirement home on the Outer Banks. They wanted their entrance way to be unique and distinct. So following the Nautical theme throughout their home, I designed, cut, and installed a compass and 16 pointed medallion mosaic for their entry floor; they were very pleased with the outcome.
In the main entrance way I used the Tumbled Marble Listello that they had chosen as part of the compass; this way I was able to harmonize the room beautifully.
In the kitchen too I was able to tie in the color theme throughout the room by using the same black and white tile in the kitchen entry as they had chosen to be used for the borders.
This shows one of the advantages of custom designed mosaics over ones you might buy pre-made. |
