This customer was building one of their many large ocean front vacation homes on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I designed a floor pattern for them that was durable as well as attractive.
We used a cream colored marble for our field tile and from a variety of different colored marble we cut 1”x 1” dots to make a nine dot pattern. We also made a 7 piece border to accent the edges of the floors and arches around the room. It was a considerable amount of work but the finished product was very rewarding. In fact, the customer was so pleased with how it looked we ended up laying more than 3,000 square feet of this pattern in their home.
We used red marble with a cream colored marble edging on the counter tops in the 3 kitchens of their house. This helped create a truly elegant appearance. A beautiful place to relax and enjoy the ocean!
